Play bridge 4 hands online for a score#

Practice hands do not count for anything. When you want a result that does, Online Bridge Club runs ACBL-sanctioned robot games every day. Insta-Game is a 12 board game, and after each board you see your score and what was possible. Game Day is an 18 or 12 board game that you play over the course of a day, with badges and free credits for good finishes. Both award ACBL Masterpoints and both are scored at matchpoints. You still sit with three robots, but your result is compared with everyone who played the same boards. How to get better with robots#

1. Play the hand, then look at the par contract if you have VIP. If you were far from it, play the deal again from the auction.
2. Review one hand per session in depth. That teaches more than skimming ten.
3. Check what your bids meant. Bridge Bidding Basics covers point counts and opening bids, and Bridge Conventions Explained covers Stayman and Jacoby transfers, which the robots use.
4. Raise the robot level only when you make your contracts regularly at the current one.
5. Once a week, play a scored game. You concentrate harder when the result counts.

Solo bridge is a start, not the whole game#

Robots teach the mechanics and the discipline. They cannot teach table feel, like noticing a hesitation or sensing that an opponent is stretching.
