Privacy Policy Shark Bridge Teacher Console virtual classrooms

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for Shark Bridge Teacher Console virtual classrooms (SBTC). This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by SBTC virtual classrooms. It will notify you of the following:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the SBTC virtual classrooms, how it is used and with whom it may be shared. 
  • What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data. 
  • The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information. 
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information. 

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
The Shark Bridge Teacher's Console does not record any student's data other than the nickname used for a classroom session, the teacher it connects to, and the duration of the connection to a classroom. The nickname a student uses can be as random as 'Mickey Mouse' and each time a student connects to a classroom they are free to use a different nickname. We do not collect IP addresses, browser identifiers, or any other tracking data. We do not use cookies or other means to store personal information on the client's computer. Our classroom system is designed so that only the teacher leading the class knows who is who.

We will use the above mention information for billing purposes only, how many students for how long have been connected to a virtual classroom. This data is shared exclusively with the teacher leading the class. 

Your Access to and Control Over Information
No personal data is ever collected by The Shark Bridge Teacher's Console, thus there is no control over it. 

SecurityWhile we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
